Dosage

Adults: Take 30–60 mL per week, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Important: This is a weekly dosage range, not a daily dose.

Use only during breastfeeding when the amount and suitability have been professionally assessed. Confirm the prescribed amount against the current product label before use.

Shake well before use. Measure the prescribed amount carefully. The prescribed amount may be diluted in a small quantity of water immediately before taking.

Do not increase the dose because a baby remains unsettled, feeds frequently or because expressed breast milk volume appears low. Pumped milk volume alone should not be used to determine whether milk supply is adequate.

Breastfeeding & Lactation Support

Concerns about milk supply should be assessed by a qualified lactation professional, midwife, maternal and child health nurse or doctor. Effective attachment, frequent and effective milk removal, feeding technique and appropriate monitoring of infant growth and hydration are important when assessing breastfeeding concerns.

The evidence supporting Goat’s Rue alone for increasing breast-milk production is limited. Available research is insufficient to establish that Goat’s Rue reliably increases milk volume or guarantees improved milk supply.

Goat’s Rue contains galegine and related compounds that may contribute to reduced blood glucose levels. Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if you have diabetes, a history of low blood glucose, irregular eating patterns or symptoms suggestive of hypoglycaemia.

Professional review is particularly important if you take insulin, sulfonylureas or another medicine that lowers blood glucose.

Stop use and seek professional advice if you experience shaking, sweating, light-headedness, weakness, irritability, confusion or other possible symptoms of low blood glucose.

Do not use if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to Goat’s Rue or another ingredient in the preparation. People with significant legume allergies should have suitability reviewed before use.

Monitor the breastfeeding mother and baby for unexpected symptoms. Seek prompt professional advice if the baby is difficult to wake, feeds poorly, has fewer wet nappies, repeatedly vomits, appears unusually weak or is not gaining weight as expected.

Do not give this product directly to infants or children.

Do not use this product as a treatment for diabetes, insulin resistance or high blood glucose.
