MediHerb Meadowsweet 1:2 500ml

MediHerb Meadowsweet 1:2 is a concentrated single-herb liquid extract prepared from the herb of Filipendula ulmaria.

Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to help relieve symptoms of indigestion and heartburn, Meadowsweet is a practitioner preparation that may be prescribed individually or incorporated into a professionally formulated herbal compound.

Each 1 mL provides the equivalent of approximately 500 mg of dried Meadowsweet herb. The preparation contains 60% v/v ethanol and no more than 0.001% methyl salicylate.

Directions for use

Adults: 20–40 mL per week, adjusted to individual requirements under the guidance of a qualified healthcare practitioner. This is a weekly dosage range, not a daily dose. Follow the current product label and your practitioner's directions.

Shake well before use. Measure the prescribed amount carefully and dilute in a small quantity of water immediately before taking.

Warnings and precautions

For practitioner dispensing and professionally guided use. Contains ethanol.

Do not use if allergic to Meadowsweet, aspirin, salicylates or any other ingredient in the preparation. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare practitioner before use if you take aspirin, anticoagulants, antiplatelet medicines or anti-inflammatory medicines, or if you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.

Seek professional advice before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The current dosage information is for adults; do not give this concentrated preparation to children or adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Discontinue use seven days before surgery or an invasive procedure unless otherwise directed by your treating healthcare professional.

Seek medical assessment for persistent or recurring heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, severe abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding or worsening joint symptoms.
